It is rated for confident beginners. This is a cut and measure pattern, so no templates are needed. A rotary cutter, ruler, and cutting mat are required. We recommend using a rotating cutting mat, starch, and a Bloc-Loc ruler. The pattern also includes inspirational ideas for using the quilt block, as well as a bonus option on how to use the quilt block.
